About Us

Move Church exists to help you make your next move. We aim to remove the obstacles that prevent people from taking simple steps that deepen their faith. Knowing God through Jesus, discovering who you are in Christ, and striving to be deeply connected to the local body and your ministry is a holistic picture of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is Move! We want Matthew 22:38-39 to become a reality in our lives:  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind...love your neighbor as you love yourself."

Our Services

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.   (Hebrews 10:25)

Our Sunday services last about two hours, beginning with worship and ministry time and ending with the preaching and teaching of the Bible. We place a strong emphasis on line-by-line teaching, helping people clearly understand and apply every part of Scripture. At times, we also read written liturgies together to help align our hearts. On the first Sunday of every month, we gather for Multi-Gen Sunday. During this service, our first through fifth graders join the adults for a time of worship before transitioning to their own service. Every other Sunday they have their own children's service listening to the same songs and message their parents are. Our newborn through kindergarten children also have dedicated spaces during services where they are cared for and taught in an environment created just for them. Sixth grade and older are with their families in the auditorium, but also have their own Youth Services every Wednesday night.

What We Believe

The Trinity
There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
(II Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; II Peter 1:21)
Jesus
The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return to this earth in power and glory.
(Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 10:38; II Corinthians 5:21; I Corinthians 15:4; Philemon 2:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18)
Holy Spirit's Initiation
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
(Ephesians 4:24; Romans 8:16; I Corinthians 12:3; Jeremiah 3:5)
Salvation
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through grace and faith in the completed work of Christ of His death, burial, and resurrection.
(Romans 10:13-15; Titus 2:11; Ephesians 2:8)
Water Baptism
Water baptism is done in obedience to Jesus' example and His command to do so. Water baptism is a public proclamation of your confession of faith, as well as a symbolic visual of being crucified with Christ (standing in the baptismal), buried with Christ (full immersion in water), and being raised with Christ (coming up out of the water).
(Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4)
Baptism with the Spirit
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is for all believers, and is the full expression of the gifts of the Spirit is operable in believers through faith.
(Acts 2:4)
Wholeness
Believers are positionally and legally right with God through faith in Christ. The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit indwelling the Christian provides emotional healing and maturity through a process.
(Rom. 12:1-2; I Thess. 5:23; I Peter 1:15-16)
The Church
The church is the eternal purpose of God and serves as the instrument to spread the kingdom of God though out the earth by the preaching of the gospel and the transformation of the nations. We embrace all five gifts of Ephesians 4:11 as being active and operative in the Church today. We believe through Christ the fulfillment of the promise to Abraham is realized in the new creation made up of both Jews and Gentiles as one new body.
(Ephesians 2:11-22, 3:11; Galatians 3:7-9, 3:16, 5:15-16)
Communion
Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a practice given to all believers by Jesus Christ that symbolizes our new covenant. The elements of bread and wine are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross. We practice communion on the first Sunday of every month.
(Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Healing
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
(Isaiah 53:3-4; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)
Second Coming
We believe the kingdom of God is active in the earth today and continues to increase to fill the whole earth until Christ literally and physically returns for a mature church. We believe there will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost when Christ returns, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
(Revelation 20:11-15; John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15)

Phrases That Shape Us

At Move Church, there are a few phrases you’ll hear often. These aren’t just sayings—they reflect how we understand the mission of Jesus and the role each of us plays in His Church. These ideas shape the way we live, serve, and follow Christ together.

The Church is a People, Not a Building

The Church is not a place we go, but a people we belong to—the body and bride of Christ.

Saints

Throughout Scripture, believers are referred to as saints—people who have been set apart for God. At Move Church, we use this word to remind one another of our identity in Christ.

No Junior Holy Spirit

The same Holy Spirit who works in adults also works in children. Kids are not the future church—they are a vital part of the church right now.

Every Member a Minister

We believe ministry isn’t limited to pastors or church staff. Every follower of Jesus is called to care for others, serve the body, and help make disciples.

Every Member a Missionary

God has given all of us the same mission—to make disciples of all nations. We encourage every member to pray, give, and participate in the work of missions, be it our fellow neighbor or amongst nations.

Leadership

Elder Led. Leader Facilitated. Member Mobilized.

ATI

Apostolic Teams International

Apostolic Teams International (ATI) is an international family of churches committed to strengthening and supporting church bodies. Through teaching resources, discipleship, and relationship,  ATI equips leaders to grow in God’s Word and lead others in sharing the gospel. A few of the ways ATI supports church bodies that it is connected to is through in-person support by visiting churches and walking alongside leaders as they build healthy, thriving communities, Encounter retreats, and putting on ATI Conference where churches around the globe gather for encouragement, equipping, and connection. At Move Church, we are grateful to be part of this spiritual family and the ongoing support it provides as we pursue our mission of helping our community make their next move towards Christ.

Missions

Support.  Prayer.  Partnership.

At Move we believe that every believer is a missionary. We are all called to the nations, both locally and internationally.
